Hokay chaps - good to go with Cruithne but with a change of dates The tournament will be a 15mm event, open to all period armies within the Impetus main rules, supplements and approved beta lists. The event will be held on Sunday the 29th July starting at 10 am (don't be too early, the caretaker will not be opening up before 10 ),
location
Newlands Community Centre Montgomery Street Grangemouth FK3 8QR
Current list of entrants Doug, Kev, Dave P, Dave B, Justin, Ross, Pete Mike Dax Jim Chuck
15mm scale - 400 points, 2 commands each, rolls of destiny, ambush and flank marches allowed. Scouting pionts will be used and the list minimums are halved, but maximums are full (so if you are allowed 4 to 8 units, of a certain type you can actually field anything between 2 and 8 from the list) There will be a minimal entry fee of £5, to cover the cost of hiring the hall and some (probably highly unimpressive) prizes. I'll see if I can skoosh up some pop and sandwiches as well - nothing fancy as there is a shop just round the corner. Although it will, as always, be an informal day just playing Impetus, it will count as one of the Scottish rounds for the IWL, so you will see your name up in lights on the Impetus Tournament Forum as well Full tournament rules http://www.dadiepiombo.com/tr2012.pdf For those who do not have armies in 15mm, a number of armies have been made available - mainly by Pete (he's got about 20 armies good to go ) and lists will be built up for you as well. (Full list of available armies to follow very shortly). All entries, just PM me, email me or let me know. Payment will be on the day. Lists will be checked off on Sunday July 22nd at 12 noon when the draw will be made. - this is also the closing date/time for entries. Dave Knights fixed terrain generating system will be used for all games, and matches will be, initially, matched historically. If we do get a multiple of 4 players a "period group" system - where the four players closest together in period play each other - will be used for the first two rounds. The organisers reserve the right to make the final round a "decider" where the closest scoring combatants from whichever group or period play each other for final tournament placing. Otherwise, we will simply revert to the SWISS system for the event. Plenty of spaces available - it's a big hall and entrants from everywhere/anywhere will be made more than welcome. Emphasis on having fun - as you might expect! See you there
